Since 1946, the Arkansas Law Review Editorial Board has maintained its founding maxim: ”The faculty and students of the University of Arkansas Law School have no desire to add unnecessarily to the great mass of legal literature with which the profession is already over-burdened, but it is hoped that a legal periodical devoted specially to the interests of Arkansas lawyers will serve a useful purpose. To this end, the Arkansas Law Review is herewith offered to the lawyers and law students of the state…[I]t is the determination of the Editorial Board to publish a credible law journal, useful to the lawyers and law students of the state, and to publish no issue of the Review that does not conform to this standard.”
